Case Study

This project organizes a clean, modern poolscape into a sloped backyard by using crisp grade changes and simple geometry to create a resort-like terrace. A generous paver sun deck anchors the layout, keeping circulation clear and giving the water room to “breathe” against the open lawn and tree line.

A raised feature wall with a centered scupper water detail becomes the focal point at the shallow end, adding movement and sound without overpowering the space. Low retaining walls and layered planting bands frame the patio edges, turning the elevation change into an intentional, finished outdoor room rather than a constraint.
